At the core of this innovation lies a unique combination of disciplines: a profound understanding of the chemistry behind coffee roasting and flavor development, paired with deep expertise in energy-efficient thermal processes and precision engineering. Energy efficiency first
CEE’s first priority was to radically reduce energy use in order to make electrification feasible, electricity is more expensive than gas and grid congestion issues needed to be avoided. The roasting system was redesigned from scratch, optimizing every thermal flow to minimize losses. The result is a process that uses just 40% of the energy required by traditional batch roasters — and sets a new benchmark for operational efficiency.
Precision and consistency
Unlike conventional gas-powered systems, the electric platform enables full control over the roasting curve. Temperatures and roasting power can be defined at each point in the roasting curve, feedback is provided at the same level. That precision yields higher quality in every bean, less waste, and better reproducibility — all while offering a gentler roast that preserves flavor integrity. Moreover, the high degree of automation is a solid base for advancement in AI-powered recipe developments.
